Stanford University approached us to design an ad campaign to spark interest and drive enrollment in their online Digital Transformation course.

Our concepting rounds focused on simple illustrations, thematic type, and collage elements that bridge the gap between old tech and new tech imagery.
Given that most of their previous campaign work used stock imagery heavily, we wanted to go a different direction and make something that felt more crafted, fun, and disruptive.


We chose a collage visual style in order to draw comparisons between the old and the new, both with technology/hardware, and with people. Sharp color schemes were chosen to compliment Stanford’s red tones on their site, and to stand out amongst the clutter online. Visual humor and whimsy created some fun opportunities to grab attention with both copy and visuals.
